How To Eat An Elephant

If your vision doesn’t scare you, it’s not big enough.

Goals. Dreams. Admirations. Inspirations. Visions. Awakenings. Callings. Unctions. Purpose.

All descriptive terms how we explain why we’re here and what we’re supposed to be doing. Each person has their own path of destiny. Not to be compared to anyone else. You my friend are in a race of one. Not to look to the left or right. But you are to keep your eyes straight ahead like flint (unyielding).

Destiny. Powerful word. A predetermined course for your life that has been set by a Higher Power. Do not confuse destiny to mean grand. It is not a scale. It is a purpose. Whether your purpose will sit you among kings or have you serving people who have been discarded or labeled as nothing. Destiny is why you’re here and purpose (an action and course of execution) is the fuel to get you there.

Get started today. Put your finger on that “thing” that wakes you up in the middle of the night. Put your finger on that “thing” that you find your mind drifting off thinking about in your cubicle at work. Put your finger on that “thing” that you try to explain to others, but sometimes fumble to find the right words to articulate what you see in your mind or feel in your heart.

Encounter an African Elephant and the grandeur of its size. Their average height is 8-13 feet tall, weighing in anywhere between 5,000-13,000 pounds. Now, imagine being told that that is your meal for the day. Can you imagine the racing of your blood and pounding of your heart as you process that? Your mind would think, “where do I even begin?” Ahhhhh. What a pivotal place to find oneself in.

I use this analogy to compare to the paralysis that we could find ourselves in when we are face-to-face with Destiny & Purpose. Sometimes the mere thought of getting started can plant your feet to the ground and you find yourself trapped- stuck in your OWN mind, fears, doubts and thoughts. “Analysis Paralysis” has countless bodies of victims that became overwhelmed by what they deemed too big or impossible; thus, they never launched out on what they were born to do.

Don’t. Get. Stuck.

So, how would I eat the elephant before me? Simply by eating one bite at a time.

So, how do you begin to walk in your destiny and calling? One step at a time.

One meeting at a time. One connection at a time.

One appointment at a time. One vision board at a time.

One prayer at a time. One goal at a time.

One idea at a time. One bite at a time.

Go ahead. Get started. Today. Tomorrow is gone. Tomorrow is not promised. The only guarantee is now.

I speak Peace & Blessings to your Highest Self,
